EPIF is delighted to announce that on 13 January 2016 David Courtnage from American Express was elected as a Vice Chair of the Board.

David takes over the position from Wolfgang Maschek at Western Union. David is also EPIF representative on the Board of the European Payments Council.

David Courtnage commented: "Having been actively involved in EPIF over the last years this seems a natural progression. As EPIF continues to expand I am sure to listen carefully and help balance the members' view”.

At the same meeting Elie Beyrouthy, Western Union, was elected to succeed Wolfgang Maschek as Chair of the Technical Committee. Elie also represents EPIF in the Administrative Committee of the European Parliamentary Financial Services Forum.

"Taking over from Wolfgang will not be easy. The work of the Technical Committee is becoming more specific and detailed. I am therefore delighted we have decided to establish two Task Forces to help me in my work. Please allow me to already thank Mark Rowe of Worldpay who is chairing the Task Force on PSD Level 2 measures and Michel Vaugiac of Moneygram who is chairing the Anti-Money Laundering Task Force."

Wolfgang Maschek reacted by saying: " I will miss EPIF but rest assured the functions I had within the Association are in good hand".
